IE freezing after closing pdf file

Hi,
I use IE 6.0.2800 and Acrobat Reader 6.0. Acrobat Reader
is configured to open pdf files in the browser window. I
have the following issue:
When I click a pdf link, the browser opens a separate
window and displays the pdf file fine. I close the windows
after reviewing the file.
I click the same or another pdf link on the web page, the
browser opens a separate window and displays the pdf file
fine. When I close the window, the browser freezes and Dr
Watson window comes up with the following error:
Application exception occurred:
App: C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\iexplore.exe (pid=3968)
Exception number: 80000007
This happens consistently after the second file.

Any thoughts? Thanks.
P.

I have exactly the same experience, but it crashes on
closing the first file. 1. Open pdf file (Acrobat 6
configured to open in browser window). 2. Viewer (me) read
pdf file. 3. Close browser window. 4. IE Crashes.

If I configure Acrobat6 NOT to open in browser window, pdf
file opens and closes normally. But this solution is not
optimal for large pdf files. In the browser window, you
can start to view the first pages of the pdf file while
the later pages are still downloading. When Acrobat does
the display, it waits until all pages are downloaded.
