Problem with deleting folders

I often see problems with deleting folders or subfolders on my two
computers.
There is no problem with deleting files but only (sub)folders.
The error is:

The directory: c:\abc\def could not be deleted.

I wonder why this happens. So I am compelled to use "Unlocker" to delete
folders.
I wonder what causes this problem. Please advise me how to fix this
problem.

Usually when a file or folder cannot be deleted is because it is in
use by another program. Using Unlocker is one way but it could be
foolish for it may disable some other program that you are not aware of.
Try rebooting your PC before deleting any files and double check before
attempting a force delete.
