Problem with capturing, please help me out!

Hello,

I have a bad problem with capturing in Movie Maker 2, I mean the manual
capturing mode. I got a new Samsung VP-D11i digicam some time ago and the
problem existed from the time I bought it, I just didnt know about this
newsgroup before :). So, the automatic capturing in Movie Maker works just
fine, it REWs the tape aok and then captures it as it should. But now the
problem - when I try to capture in manual mode because I want to capture
example from the middle or end of the tape, instead of the preview I see
only black box in that preview window in MM2 though movie is running in my
camera LCD. When I want to stop capture, it says that "Can't capture the
video." or something with that red X icon. So, some problem with drivers or
something should exist. I really want to capture and do everything with MM2
because it seems to be one of the best and user-friendly programs that I
have used. Capturing with Pinnacle Studio 8 works 100% fine, but it's codecs
and capturing options are not my taste. So, MM2 is my best solution, but I
have no idea how to fix this stupid problem...

I would be sooooo glad if somebody can kindly help me out in this case!

Thank you so much!

Best,

Georg

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

If I try to capture in 16:9 mode, the preview window
freezes as soon as i try to capture and nothing is
captured. On 4:3 mode, it works fine.

I noticed that when i switch to 16:9 mode, i get less
options in the drop down menu.

On 4:3 mode if i choose any of the options that say NTSC
next to them, i get the same problem. The ones without
NTSC work just fine.

Could this be a driver or codec issue? How can i check
if i have the right ones?

Thanks!
