capture video problem

As movie maker is capturing video it seems to skip and will go in slo motion
for 1 second and then speed up. It is not capturing the video in the true
speed. Before I hit the capture button the video on the movie maker screen is
perfect, then when I hit the capture button the problem starts happening. Any
help would be great.

The saved video is not perfect?
If not then I would suspect your pc isn't up to capturing for one reason or
another, check out these suggestions
