Prob. viewing gifs

Suddenly, when I try to save gifs, they give me no choice but to save as a
bitmap image. I've cleaned my TIF & offline content from both IE6 & from
the desktop IE icon (also from windows explorer), but that hasn't helped. I
restored my computer to an earlier time, but that didn't do any good either.

I've asked for help in other ng's but they can only suggest cleaning out the
TIF.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi CB,

The problem can also occur if there is a damaged program file in the
Downloaded Program Files folder. Have a look at this MSKB article, "Internet

Wow!! I went to the article you listed, followed the directions and bingo!
It now works. Thank you very much....I went to the KB, but evidentially, I
enter the wrong search terms.
