Printing 'Multimap' problem

I would appreciate any advice concerning a problem printing online maps from
sites such as multimap etc.
Although previously able to do so, when I click on the print icon on
multimap or streetmap websites my printer no longer prints the map although I
have selected the printer friendly version of the map etc.
It does not print either via the print icon or selecting File - print option
and nothing is shown when I look in the printers status box.
The printer itself still prints word documents etc normally without problem
and I am a little baffled by this as I never had a problem previously.
Any suggestions therefore much appreciated.
