s-l-o-w print function

My print commands take about 15 sec -- or sometimes longer -- whether I'm in
Word or printing something from the internet. The speed is the same with
either my laser or multifunction printer. I run Windows XP 2002 with SP3. The
problem started a couple of weeks ago with no apparent reason -- no new
programs added, etc. Please advise
 
Too little information for a logical answer. I.E. Wireless printer? USB
connected printer? Have you checked
programs running in the background? Did you shut down background programs
such as virus scanners?
Check task manager?
