Hi,
The company I work for has a plotter for CAD drawings and its installed and
everything works fine, the server it is connected to is win 2003 server and
on one machine i am trying to reinstall the plotter but, it does show any
where on the server i have the ip address of the plotter because it has its
own network port and it is shared. Even if I try to install this plotter
using the exact ip address it will not install can anyone help me to find the
solution

So the plotter is set up as a local computer on the server, via a standard
TCP/IP port, and shared? Can you see the share?

Can you ping the IP address of the plotter from this workstation?
