Problems printing from Autocad 2008

I am having issues printing from Autocad 2008 to my plotter. I can print from
Paint, Word, etc. to this plotter, but Autocad shuts down on me if I select
my plotter and hit either Preview or OK. I can create a PDF or print to any
other printer, just not my big plotter. It is an HP T610. I have contacted HP
and made sure that I have the correct drivers, but no luck fixing the problem
yet.

Any suggestions?

You'll probably have more luck trying Autodesk tech support; or asking in
one of the AutoCAD user forums:

Even if the root cause is a Vista issue, rather than HP's driver or AutoCAD,
you're much more likely to find someone there who knows about the problem.

As a first step, make sure you have SP1 for AutoCAD 2008 installed:

I dunno if it fixes your specific issue; but it fixes several known crashes.

Hi, Cad1985.

What "same Problem"?

I'm reading your post in the Microsoft
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general newsgroup, but since you posted from
Vistaheads and did not include any context, there is no way I can tell what
the "same Problem" might have been, except from the
only-slightly-informative Subject line.

These newsgroups are hosted on the Microsoft public news server; they also
are "slurped" by Vistaheads and other websites and presented - usually
without attribution - as though they originated on that site. But the
process of slurping and relaying messages often results in posts that are
delayed or out of sequence or simply lost - like most of your thread.

To cut out the middleman and connect directly to this newsgroup on the MS
server, just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general

That will start your default news reader (OE/WM/WLM or third-party) and
bring you right back here, but connected directly, rather than through
Vistaheads.
