printer won't work on network

Hi,

I recently replaced a windows 98 pc with a win 2000 pc and every thing went
fine untill I tried to print to this printer on the network. I am able to
print directly from the pc but when I try to print from the network, it does
nothing.
I have used excatly the same share name as before.

I though it might have something to do with my network connection settings
but when I go into File & Printer sharing for Microsoft Networks.the
properties tab greys out.

The printer is an Epson FX-880.

Any help would be appriciated
