Printer says "processing job" & no print out

Our HP LaserJet 5M printer is connected to the network
via an internal JetDirect card. The print server is on a
Windows 2000 SP2 member server.

Today, when we print using the HPLJ 5/5M Postscript
driver, the printer control paneel says "processing job"
for over a minute and nothing prints. But the print
server shows the that the job has printed. Then I have to
cancel the print job. However, I can successfully print
using the HPLJ 5 Enchanced driver.

I have tried powering off/on the printer, stopping and
restarting the Print service. Is there something wrong
with the HPLJ 5/5M printer icon in the print server? Do I
have to get another HPLJ 5/5M driver?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you,
Millie

Now the HPLJ 5 Enhanced driver doesn't either.

The Event Viewer System Log has the following error
message - Source: Print, Category: None, Event ID: 45,
Description: Document failed to print due to GDI/Driver
error in rendering.

I have tried seaching the Knowledge Base without success.

Does anyone know how to fix the GDI/Driver rendering
problem?

Thank you,
Millie
