Printer problem

I tried so hard to find a solution for my probelm on the internet but seems i
have to re install my windows XP to fix it.

Whenever i right click the "printer" icon to see the properties, it doesnt
show anything. Even no error message appears, it just doesn't show the
properties. I tried everything but failed to fix it. I tried several printers
but did not work to show the properties. It is something has to do with the
windows. Any suggestions?
