Silly question. Did you remove the tape from the bottom
of the cartridges?
Does your printer control program have a pop up window
which allows you to change the cartridges?
If it has, click on change cartridges, open front of
printer where cartridges are, remove and replace, subject
to checking if the tape is removed, close the lid, the
carriage should reset itself, and in the pop up window
you should be able to reset the cartridges to full.
In practice this should work.
