print job - kill it - HP LJ III

My coding error in MS ACCESS allowed a client to create a 1000-page result.
Client
pressed the print icon from the Print Preview view, and then realized the
size of the print job. Client then called me.

Wanting to kill the print job, I found that clicking
Start | Settings | Printers | File | Cancel All Documents
did not kill the job.
(Note: the user's machine is one of two connected by a KVM switch. We
later noticed a dialog box on the other machine, alerting us to a printer
problem (we had turned the printer off for a while) )

We searched for a file created 'today' that looked like a print spooler
file, but couldn't find one.
Does printing a document create a file which spools to the printer? If so,
can someone tell me what that file(s) is/are named? Can the print job be
killed by simply deleting the file(s)?

Can I create code in my application so users can kill a print job from
within the
app? If so, can readers suggest sources for such code? If it is simply
deleting files, I can probably figure that out.

The HP LJ III manual does not have an entry for "kill" or "cancel".
The only other alternative I can think of is to use the printer's front
panel buttons to kill the job.
Does anyone know what combination of buttons to press?

Thanks for any help.

Please note. If the job is not in the print que. It's in the KVM
switchs ram. Just remove power to the printer and switch, but make
sure the other computer doesn't have any print jobs in the que as
these will also go away.
