HP 970Cxi - How to clear print jobs.

I occasionally send print jobs to the printer that are defective
which cause a few phrases of russian to be printed on each page
and I try to kill the print job as soon as I spot the error.

I don't have a problem with stopping the print job on the computer
and purging them so that my print queue is empty. But the printer
evidently remembers these jobs like an elephant and wants to keep
printing even though I turn it off and back on.

How do I clear the botched job from the printer?
