PPT 2003 Sound Problems

I have PPT 2003 and I am trying to insert sound files
(.wma) into the presentation. The sound icons show but
nothing plays.
 
Did you select the option to play sound automatically or on click? You
should get that statement as soon as you insert your sound. Also check the
Custom Animation so see where the sound is at.
 
Sound only plays during Slide Show mode. Is that what you are trying and
getting no sound?
