PPS files that lost their sound

I have a number of PPS files that have lost their sound.

example is one that can be fund on the internet: "thesimplelife.pps"

I also have others. I don't recall making any changes to my system. The
only thing I can think of is a MS update that my have caused the problem.
All other files seem to okay, it's just the PPS files that have lost their
sound.

Any suggestions ?
