Copy from the presentation to what destination
?
The simplest way, if this is satisfactory for you, might be to create a new
powerpoint presentation and copy the whole slide into it.
You can also, in my version of powerpoint (2007) at least, use the 'save as'
option in the file menu to save a single slide as a Jpeg graphics file.
Do you have the PowerPoint application or just the PP Viewer?
If just the viewer, you cannot extract. PowerPoint is not a free app.
But, you can download the free OpenOffice to extract PPS files.

for your advice.
I have PowerPoint 2003 that does not allow me to right click on the slide
and save it
to my hard drive -- apparently PowerPoint 2007 will provide a "save."
And, thank you for the information on OpenOffice.org
I will explore that option.
Thank You,

You don't right click on the slide to save it in 2003.. Open
the file in 2003 and go to the slide you want to save as a
graphic. Do a File, SaveAs and change the file type to .jpg.
Select this slide only and it will be saved as a jpg file.
