PowerPoint 'fade' animation

I have been converting our talks on positive film slides by scanning to
digital and am using PowerPoint as means of presentation. I want to 'fade'
the slides in but when projected to a large screen they flicker badly - most
off putting. Can anyone help please.

Are you fading with animation or transitions?

Which version of PPT are you using?

Try changing hardware acceleration (probably backwards) and perhaps updating
video drivers. (HA should do the trick for flickers, though.)
