PowerPoint 2003 shows duplicate footer in Print Preview and Printi

I have a powerpoint presentation that has a copyright footer on some of the
master slides. When doing a print preview, on some of the slides, the footer
is duplicated in a slightly different position so 1 footer is on top of the
other. The duplicate shows up on prints also. When the file is sent to
someone else, they don't have a problem with either the Print preview or
printing. I am reinstalling Office 2003 from the control panel. That did
not fix it. I tried also a detect & repair of powerpoint with return to
original settings. Still the same problem. Any ideas?

Tyr something for me: If you have another printer in your list (not the
actual printer, necessarily, just one you can select), make it the Default
printer. Then, check out the print preview again. Do you still have the
double footer?

Check the Shadow settings for the footer shapes that give you doublevision.

Not the Font, Shadow setting but the shadow setting on the drawing toolbar at
the bottom of the screen.
