I have experienced a couple really annoying problems with graphs in
powerpoint (2000 and xp):
When I capitalize a letter in a graph cell the following letters typed are
capitalized even though caps lock is not on. It does not happen all the
time; on average- once for every graph made. I have to exit the data editor
for the graph and re-open it to type without caps being stuck on.
Other times in the data editor for graphs in powerpoint while simply moving
from one cell to another to edit data in another cells, the data editor
highlights multiple cells even though i am just pushing the over arrow or
tab. I have to exit the data editor for the graph and re-open it to not have
multiple cells selected.
Lastly, I copy graphs to a new slide and edit the copy so I don't have to
make a new graph from scratch, but the copied graph will show data labels
with the same number as the graph i originally copied, even though I changed
that number in the data editor; date editor value does not equal pictured
graph value on the pp slide. I have to highlight the data point shown on the
actual graph and change the value outside of the data editor.
Please let me know if there is any way to correct these bugs in the
powerpoint graph program; they have been slowing me and co-workers down at
work and are quite frustrating! Thank you,
Ryan
