How do I suppress all of those annoying yellow ballons
that the system keeps throwing up? If I never see
another one of those things as long as I live, it will be
too soon. I may go back to '98.

Open Windows Explorer. Click Tools - Folder Options - View. Near the
bottom will be a box with a check mark in it labeled "Show pop-up
description for folder and desktop items". Uncheck it.
