How to disable windows pop-up notifications

Hello,

Whenever I start my computer, after I log in, a large number of small yellow
pop-up notifications appear in the bottom right corner of my screen over and
over and if I want them gone I need to click the x on all of them. Various
notices include:
-Internet cable unplugged
-No wireless network present
-Connected to wireless network
-Random things to be annoying
-etc.

My question is fairly obvious, how do I disable this?

BTW, I am using a laptop with XP Pro SP2, however, this also happens on my
desktop at home.

Thanks,

JetStorm

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307729 or

TweakUI a utility for doing all kinds of tweaking to the Windows
environment. It's a Microsoft Power Toy.

Thanks, but, I tried to use TweakUI and I couldn't find anything that could
turn those off. Either it isn't there I didn't look in the right place. Any
help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but, I tried using TweakUI and it doesn't have what I need or I
wasn't looking in the right place. Any help would be appreciated.

You are clearly VERY LAZY and did not LOOK thoroughly.

Find "Enable Balloon Tips" in TweakUI and disable it.

Do your Homework.

If you checked the box indicating that you want TweakUI to disable balloon
tips, then you shouldn't be seeing any balloon tips. It works perfectly.
You can also disable balloon tips by using the registry tweak at the link I
gave you previously. Perhaps you could explain your problem in a bit more
detail. Windows Balloon Tips should be totally gone if you use the TweakUI
utility to stop them. Have you checked Google for "disable windows
messenger service"?
