pop-ups!!!!

I am using a pop-up blocker but, I still have pop-ups. I
leave my computer idle and when I come back there are 45
pop-up's on the screen. As I am typing this I keep having
to click on the text box because of the block pop-up's.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Install a firewall such as the free version of Zone Alarm from
www.zonelabs.com, or activate the XP firewall. Run Ad Aware, free from
www.lavasoft.us.

Try installing the Google search bar, it does a great job of stopping
pop-ups for me although I also have NAV which has some of the same tools.
The double whammy gets almost all of them for me.

The source of the pop-ups may also me 'messenger'. Not MS
Messenger, the chat program but 'messenger that is part
of windoes xp. You need to go to control panel, 'Admin
Tools', then 'Services'. Scroll down on the right hand
column till you find 'Messenger'..double click it and
choose the disable option. This will stop messenger pop-
ups that come through this way.
