Pop up

While running Windows XP Professional, every once in a while i get a pop up
in the taskbar where it shows what programs are running. It has an icon that
looks like a display window, however it goes away after a second but is very
annoying. Any clue what it could be?

I went to that website but i am not sure how to do this or what to click
because i cannot find it, or maybe i do not know what to do with that Hive:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Can you give me some direction. Thanks
