Pop up messages

When I got my new computer, it asked me to create a D: drive to copy all the
important files. I did so. It allotted about 12 gig and used most of it. Now
everytime I start Windows XP, I get this annoying popup message saying my D
drive is almost full and I should delete some files to make room on the D
drive. Is there any way of turning off this and other pop up messges like it?

If you want to stop receiving messages about low disk space, do
the following:

Go to this web site and download the registry fix from the left
hand column of line 65, Disable Low Disk Space Message.

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Save the registry fix to a convenient place such as your
Desktop.
Right click the file and select Merge from the menu.
Click Yes when asked if you want to add the information in the
file to your registry.

If you prefer editing the registry manually, do the following:

Go to Start -> Run and enter regedit.exe in the Open box.
Navigate to this registry key,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right click an open area in the right hand pane and select
New -> DWORD value from the menu.
Name this new value NoLowDiskSpaceChecks.
Right click this new value and select Modify from the menu.
Enter 1 in the Value data box.
Click OK.
Close the registry editor.
Take a look here for more info:

Disable Low Disk Space Notification
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1051/

Enable/Disable Low Disk Space Message
http://www.theeldergeek.com/low_disk_space_message.htm

Keep in mind that this will turn off the warning for all drives
on your computer.

Good luck
