Securing your expensive computer from getting viruses in the first place is
a waist of money? People who think like this is why viruses get spread in
the first place and it makes the experience for people who compute securely
poor because of your inaction from the start. Also online virus scans do not
catch all viruses and when they do your already infected, so the damage is
done already. Stoping yourself from getting infected in the first place is
what a installed anti-virus program will do. I suggest you re-think your
views on having an installed av program. At less than $50 it's a great and
smart investment. If you can spend hundreds or thousands on a computer then
you can spend money on a av program.(it like the guy who buys a corvette but
can't afford tires) Or if you want to save money, that's still no reason to
not have a installed av program. AVG anti-virus is free and is one of the
best out there. www.grisoft.com
