Whenever I re-boot I get a message telling me I have new
hardware (printer). How can I prevent this? It isn't a
show stopper but it is annoying. It doesn't tell me WHICH
hardware it has detected and automatically installing the
driver is ineffective.

Help, please!
 
You need the install CD for the printer. If it is a multi-function printer,
you may have to allow it to search for drivers for each of it's functions.
When I set up my brothers printer, I had to reboot 3 times, each time I
would allow it to search and it would install more. Finally, on the 4th boot
it was finished.
