Pls help, XP keeps rebooting when trying to establish a dial-up connection

I use XP Professional edition,when i was trying to establish a dial-up connection computer booted and it gave me a message "The system has recovered from a serious problem".Then when i checked the Event Viewer i found those errors

"A provider, intel ethernet diag has been registered in the WMI names space,roof/inter NCS to use the local system account.This account is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate user requests.".I don't use a LAN so i don't know what does this mean.Like i said i use a dial-up connection

I also got that error

"Hanging application mmc.exe,version 5.1.2600.0,hang module hungapp. version 0.0.0.0 hang address 0x0000000

Pls i need help i got this twice and i don't know what to do.So pls tell me what to do inorder to fix this and why it happened.Thank you for your help.

It says use the "SFC" utility.
So, I guess you should give it a try.

Click Start->Run
Type cmd and enter
Type sfc /scannow

Thanks for replying,I will give it a try as you mentioned,but what about the other error messages it gave me.It's all talking about LAN intel adapter which i don't use.I connect through a dial up connection and all this happens when i try to connect to the internet.I don't know what to do and i'm getting frustrated with it

There should be a link after the error description in the log that points to
go.microsoft... something.
click the link and see what Bill Gate thinks what kind of problem you are
having.
