Please help

I recently ecountered a problem w/ my XP Pro laptop that
caused me to reinstall. My problem is that I lost all my
settings from my previous install. Is there anything I
can do to recover any of that information? None of my
programs (i.e. office, kazaa)work because they are not
installed for the current user. I tried to login under my
previous username, but it is not recognized.Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Im afraid its bad news, the old settings were over written
when you reinstalled, you will have to reinstall
everything manually, sorry !

Ensure that you create a restore point once you have
reinstalled everything.
