please help with software!!!

[BWE]

im trying to run a software program. i insert the cd and
i follow directions of going to the "run" link, i type in
the exact destination needed...E:\intalg\intmain... and
click ok. but the program doesnt come up and instead a
small window with the title, "16 bit Windows Subsytem"
comes up. the contents of the message are basically that
the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and
Microsoft Windows applications. and it only gives me the
choice to close the window or "ignore" it. i need all the
help i can...what is going on???
