Ok... here's my problem: I'm on a local area connection on a college campus.
Every so often (ranging from 15 minutes to maybe an hour), my connection will
spontaneously just drop out for a minute or two. When this happens, internet
pages won't load, and I'm told that I temporarily sign off AIM (although from
my computer it appears to remain on).
The weird thing is this: if I go to the network connections window in the
Control Panel, go into the Local Network Connection page, and click the
"repair" button, it restores my connection every single time (until the next
time it drops out). So obviously whatever the problem is, it can be remedied
by whatever it is the "repair" button does. My question is, given this
information, what can I do to prevent my connection from dropping out in the
first place? And if you can't help me, please give me somewhere I may be able
to get help on this! Thank you very much to whoever helps me!!
