My internet connections drop after about 5 minutes. An error is returned from
my browers "the operation timed out when attempting to connect.... The
happens on my LAN or Air Card connection. I have other computers on the same
network and have no problem. If I restart the computer I am still not able
to reestablish connection to brower. If I power down and start computer then
I am able to reconnect to browers. This also happens on programs like my
Weatherbug, it drops connection.

What type of LAN card? Have you check for driver updates?

I've been have this type of problems for a while also. My problem was
a "flaky" router and my router's password somehow was "hacked" so is
was 'hijacked." Replaced the router and updated the password.

I also was using USB wireless adapters which seemed to have cause a
"un-balanced" USB settings. A USB setting 'reset" helped (so for this
month!)
