Please help me comp. wont turn on..

I had just installed a program o my computer and it went to restart but wont
turn back on. I can hear it and all the lights are o but there is nothing on
the screen. Can you please help me? Thank you so mch for your time.

Check that the power is on to the monitor if all is correct there and still
nothing try another monitor this will

Is it possible to use a tv or a laptop to check? I dont have another moniter
and am not able to get one!

Try booting into "safe mode" if successful,uninstall the program.

restart the computer and press the "F8" key while the maching is booting,
and yes you can connect an external monitor to the laptop

I believe the OP was asking if it is possible to connect the problem
computer to a laptop LCD display.

Although the idea sounds intriguing, I am not aware of a laptop with that
capability.

sure that the monitor is infact working

this was the reason for my saying that you can connect a external monitor to
a laptop, if the monitor works with the laptop, the next step would be to
check the video card. Please pitch in if you have any
ideas..........everyday we learn

Ok so I can not use my laptop comp as a monitor right?
K I got it to boot and asking me if I start normally or I am guessing
(heehee) "safe mode"" I am going to choose.

Mia Culpa -- you are troubleshooting the monitor (Doh). Exactly -- if the OP
sees "nothing" then there are no visible POST messages, ergo monitor, or
video card, or loose connection between monitor and video card.

ok good now we know the monitors ok when you get into safe mode uninstall
the program that started all of this

K I clicked enter on safe mode, now I have been sitting at a screen that has
multi(0)disk(0)rdiskblahblahlah al the way across and al the way down the
screen but just sitting there not doing anything?? I am sorry I dont know a
thing aout what I am ding and realy appricate your help.

But his problem started immediantly after installing software,which suggest
that the software is the cause of it
