What media player? What version?
What format the file types that skip?
Is this with every type of video clip?
The spec of the PC?
Have you tried closing applications
that maybe a drain on your system?
Have you tried updating XP/DVD decoders/Codecs?

Hehe, sometimes blood from a stone would be easier, huh?! I occasionally
think if I see "my printer won't print" one more time..........

MY Pc crashed I had to reinstall windows Xp i had lost everything
when i went to play a DVD it said i needed a decoder what ever that is
and now My DVD player won't work at all like it did before it crashed how
can i get it back like it was before it crashed

You need to reinstall PowerDVD or WinDVD, whichever you had before.
