PCU doesn't have an IEEE 1394

I have a JVC GR-SXM38u which I tried to hook up with the wires for analog
connection. The movie maker said that no connection device was found. Tried
an S wire, to find out that the one on my pcu is an outgoing one, not an
ingoing one. I currently have the video from the camcorder dled to a dvd
disk but I have no idea how to hook up the dvd player to the pcu (i am not
computer literate) and by doing a search through the movie maker threads I
have discovered how to search for the IEEE 1394 to find I don't have one of
those either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

An IEEE port can easily be installed and in fact if you take your computer
to your local computer store and purchase an IEEE card from them they will,
in most cases, install it for you.

No my computer doesn't have a DVD player in it. I am thinking that I may
just take it to a computer shop to get the IEEE installed. Is that the
cheapest option?
