Without physical security, there's no way to completely ensure that the
computer can't be used in your absence. Even BIOS passwords are easily
by-passed by anyone who can physically tough the PC, and Linux-based )S
password cracking utilities abound on the Internet, freely available to
anyone who can use Google.
If you want to be certain no one using the computer, place the it in an
inpenetrable locked cabinet or room to which no one else has access.

might try a thumb print reader/scanner. But it only works if you keep your
thumb with you at all times....
there's also a software that requires a password to boot to windows. And if
it is entered wrong 3 times it will wipe your hard disk for you. This is a
guarantee that no one else can use your pc when your away.
