PC keeps shutting off

Hello,

recently my PC has been shutting itself down, even if I am in the middle of
doing something. I could be playing a game or surfing and all of a sudden it
will shut down and reboot by itself. Is the processor getting to hot? or is
there a setting that I have to change. XP Home, Celeron Processor, 512 ram,
power options are "Desktop/Home". What type of program can be obtained to
monitor the temp of the system.

Hi

If you don't see any error messages, right click on My Computer, select
Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on Settings under Startup and
Recovery and disable 'Automatically restart'. Next time your PC reboots,
you should see a Blue Screen. Could you please post the Stop Code from the
BSOD?

Also, please have a look in the Event Viewer to see if any entries there may
refer to the problem.

That could be a lot of probs
-cpu
-ram
-any devices
-Bad Virus
-Bad Driver for a program
etc...

If you have xp try doing a rollback to a nother date when it worked fine
if it still happens I would sugest to see sombody who knows about computers
and has a lot of patiense before you drive yourself crazy.

Good luck
