pc keeps shutting off

hi.
My pc will run for about 10mins then it will just turn off for no reason ....
im running xp home 256mb ram on A7N266-VM asus board.
does anyone have any ideas as to why.
no viruses........

Heating problems? Do you have any way of monitoring the CPU temperature
before and after a shutdown?

I would suspect overheating issues or a bad power supply. When is the last
time you actually cleaned the inside of your PC case. You also may have a
malfunctioning fan or inoperative fan that is causing overheating issues.
