PC shuts itself off.

Im on Windows XP & no matter what Im doing it shuts itself off without
warning. I have to switch off at mains & leave it for a while (the
longer I leave off, the longer it then mostly stays on) I checked my
application in system tools & have around 70 errors listed, mostly nos.
3011/3012. If its a virus or registry problem, any recs. on best 1 to
remedy as stuff Ive bought b4 seems to clear SOME. Im a bit of a novice
HELP! PLEASE!

Could be overheating - check to make sure the power supply and cpu fans are
operating, and using a mini-vacuum tool remove excess dust from inside the
case.

A bad power supply can also cause similar failures.
