Game keeps shutting off

Im a big gamer, and recently when im playing my game
(warlords battlecry 2) it shuts down like someone just
closed it. This happens about 40% of the time,and when
you're after playin for a few hours and it closes, well
im not too happy. If anyone could give me some pointers
on how to remedy this problem it would be greatly
appericated.

Did you check for any game patches?

Shut of indexing service if it is still enabled.
And close any programs running, most upper end games now
suggest that you turn off your anti-virus (be sure that
your not connected to the internet first).
