PC keeps in loop after first windows XP1 update

Hi everybody,

Need help. I have updated my friends PC by going to
windows update site and it installed XP1 service pack.
After installation I rebooted system and now it is in
endless loop. It starts with HP logo and then shows
windows XP home logo and somthing happens ( no error )
and goes back to HP screen and goes in same loop.

Let me know what can I do,
