Do you have UP-TO-DATE anti-virus software running?

I had a similar problem when trying to scroll text in my
outlook express. screen would lock up and I'd have to
reboot. I read somewhere to try lowering the screen
refresh rate a notch or two. go to control panel, click
display, click settings, click advanced, click monitor,
see screen refresh rate, try decreasing one increment. It
worked for me...

Yeah..I have symantec antivirus and have not been able to
spot any malice. One time it did give the rpc error
message (like the one Msblast popped up) but never again.
FOr now I have disabled an display adapter (thru control
panel - system - device manager) and it seems like its
working. Will keep watching.

thanks.
