Windows Update Installation Errors

I have recently formatted my Dell Optiplex GX260 and installed Windows XP
Home Edition. I have updated through Windows Update, SP2 and most updates.
I have downloaded and installed KB922582 and Windows Media Player 11, but
when I try to install either of them I get blue screened - 0x0000008E
(0xc0000005, 0xF7E203D7, 0xF7923994, 0x00000000). Any idea why or how to
correct? The blue screen also says to try changing video adapters, look for
BIOS updates, and disable BIOS memory options like caching or shadowing - I
am not sure what to do with this. I believe my drivers and BIOS are up to
date?
