PC games problems

Seamus

Sorry, I may just be uninformed.

My computer has windows 2000 professional installed.

I have a number of older pc games.( if I understand the definition of pc
games).

They all worked great on Windows 95.

Now they don't see my sound card under win2000pro.
The window the program starts in just locks up.

One is copyrighted in 1995.

Are they ever going to work on win2000pro or are they just too old?

You say it "locks up", this usually means the game is trting to access
hardware directly and this is NOT allowed in the NT operating
systems(Windows 2000 and XP are NT based) You may try one of the
emulators such as Virtual PC and get the game running that way.
