pc froze during windows installation

My pc froze during windows xp installation. How can I get out of the set up?

Find out the underling hardware issue, Setup will then resume.

For RAM: download and run memtest86+ from www.memtest.org

For Hard disk: download and run the utility provided by the
manufacturor of the hard disk.

Open up the computer and inspect the motherboard for bad capicitors.
They look like little soda cans. If any are bulging or leaking, that's
a bad motherboard.

Power off the PC, fix the hardware problem, and then reboot from the
installation CD; Setup should resume.
