I have this issue with my system and I can not figure out what is causing my
system to freeze up occasionally.
Is there a file or program which lists these problems "other then the event
viewer" this program will not list what the problem is, can somebody tell me
what windows program and or file will list this type of issue ?

Built into Windows - you have the Event Log.. That's it.
What have you tried doing to remedy your problem? Checked for external
reasons - like heat? Added/updated anything lately?

If available, another place to look would be the Dr. Watson
log. Do a search for drwtsn32.log and open it. It is an ASCII
file and is readable in Notepad. It might list the process or
application that is hanging up. The otherwise alternative is
to remember what actions were done that resulted in the freeze
and troubleshoot these.

As mention'd Dr Watson might help
Start\Run DRWTSN32 <enter> look at the applications, could give a
clue.
