Ok I am an extreme novice about this stuff and really need help.

I have been experiencing very irratating problems for a couple of weeks now
and it seems to be getting worse. I can't blame it on IE 7 but it didn start
about a week or 2 after installing that.

Problems. When I try and highlight a group of files (say 5 or 10) it will
only highlight one at a time. This doesn't happen all the time but a good bit.

When trying to backclick to a previous page it will sometimes (a good bit of
the time) take me back 2 or 3 pages instead of one.

When downloading files (Like pictures from the net) it will sometimes try
and change the location I want the file to go to. For example I may have a
folder of nature photos and be downloading files to put in that folder.
Wihtout prompting from me it will automatically change the location the file
is being moved to or downloaded to to a music folder I have.

Trying to pull down my favorites list can sometimes take 5 or 10 tries. It
will just keep disappearing as soon as it appears.

A site I visit regularly and share photos with has an upload manager. I
regularly have big problems trying to use this upload manager now. Same as
before, when trying to pull pictures from a certain folder to upload , it
will automatically take me to different folders I didn't try to go too.

These are a few of my current problems. I downloaded and started using the
opera browser thinking it was aIE 7 problem but encountered the same things
with that one too. Any ideas ? Please help if you can. Thanks.

Try using Opera or FireFox see if your problems go away.

You don't need to remove or do anything with IE, just install one of
the other browsers.

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot afterwards so
damaged files will be replaced.

Try one of these free online virus scans:
