Pb with modem connexion

After a new load (upgrade) of XP the "new connection wizard" offers only the
"broadband connection" option, the 2 other ones, especially the"dial up
modem" option are grey, so not possible. Control panel,modems shows
nevertheless my built-in modem with no pb related.
How can I build up a modem connection, I d'ont have broadband over 10/100
device

i did what you ask me to do.
Method 1: deleting NextID: no result
Method 2: deleting telephony : no result
Then in-place upgrade. no result, and telephony was not regenerated and is
missing
