How do i get outlook to keep my password

no matter how many tmes i re enter it, it gets lost the
next time i run outlook. i tick the 'save password' box
to no effect

my outlook opens a new popup window each time I input the password. I have
lowered security, I have read the troubleshooting errors, and this one isn't
covered. Thanks,
